Special Issue on Loneliness: Announcing the Shortlist

Columbia Journal is delighted to announce the shortlist for our Special Issue on Loneliness. Our dedicated team of readers and editors culled through a pool of more than 400 submissions that were each uniquely moving.
We are grateful to everyone who submitted their work. Our reading and judging experience were both immensely enjoyable but also difficult owing to the huge amount of talent.
Our top three in each genre—comprising a winner and two runners up—will be announced on Monday, July 13th, 2020. Please note that after much consideration, we will not be announcing a winner for the Translation category since the submissions did not meet our editorial expectations.
