Columbia Journal hosts a Spelling Bee!

By Celine Aenlle-Rocha

All those local to New York City and nearby: join Columbia Journal staff, faculty advisors, and alums for an evening of spelling fun! Talented writers from the community will go head to head in a battle of wits. As Taylor Swift so famously sings: “Spelling is fun.”

The Spelling Bee will be held Monday, February 24th at 8:00 PM at the wonderful Bowery Poetry Club.

Columbia student tickets are $10, all others $15. All proceeds will support the production of Columbia Journal, Issue 58.

Participants will include: Alice Quinn, Elissa Schappell, Anelise Chen, BK Fischer, Wendy Xu, Bill Wadsworth, Rivka Galchen, Alan Gilbert, Phillip Lopate, and more. Hosted by the incredible Binnie Kirshenbaum.

Please reserve your spot here. Tickets will be sold at the door.

We hope to see you there!
