Columbia: A Journal of Literature and Art is now accepting applications for the 2013-14 Staff!

The current editors will be holding an information session on Thursday, October 3, 8:30 p.m., Dodge 413.

Join us for snacks and drinks and to learn more about the Journal from its current staff.

The Journal aims to publish the very best in poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and art. It is edited, produced, and published by Columbia’s Writing MFA students. The current staff is working to produce Issue 52, out next May, as well as undertaking a redesign and relaunch of the Journal’s online edition, which publishes flash fiction, poetry, criticism, creative nonfiction, and art.

Next year’s staff will join the team next semester, apprenticing the current staff throughout the spring, before kicking off their own production year in May of 2014.

Come to the information session if you have experience in publishing or the literary journal world, have no experience but want to learn more, or are just curious about what it is we do. Many positions require no previous experience. Work study funds are available for selected staff.

Applications and job descriptions will be available at the meeting! Applications will then be due on Monday, October 28. Feel free to contact Editor-in-Chief Angelica Baker or Managing Editor Laura Standley with any questions at all.

We hope to see you at 8:30 p.m. on October 3!

Angelica Baker – Editor-in-Chief
Laura Standley – Managing Editor
