Danielle Evans named 5 under 35 by the National Book Foundation

Even before the release of her debut story collection, Before You Suffocate Your Own Fool Self, Danielle Evans proved herself as a literary talent to watch with attention-grabbing publications in The Paris Review and Best American Short Stories. Last week, her rising star status was cemented with a prestigious 5 under 35 selection from the National Book Foundation. Before You Suffocate Your Own Fool Self has already received various honors, from a PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize to being selected as an Oprah’s Book Club pick. We can’t wait to see what she does next. Go Danielle!

Fiction from Danielle Evans will appear in Issue 50.
