All genre editors for Columbia Journal’s website are student volunteers in the graduate writing program at Columbia University School of the Arts.
Trenton is a poet and essayist in New York City. A graduate of Bennington College and North Carolina State University, he currently is a graduate student at Columbia University. He has work forthcoming in Denver Quarterly, Lambda Literary, The Journal, and elsewhere. As Online Nonfiction Editor, he seeks to in publish innovative, genre-bending essays from writers of all backgrounds, and is most interested in promoting work by writers from marginalized communities.
Beca lives in New York and is from Albuquerque, New Mexico. That space and landscape frames the poetry she writes. She loves art that has a strong sense of place–its own atmosphere.
Sihan is a writer from Singapore and an MFA candidate in Fiction at Columbia University. He has previously studied at the University of Edinburgh. As Fiction Editor, he speculates publishing obscure and established voices from all hidden corners of the world.
Halley is an MFA candidate in poetry at Columbia University. She works at the 92nd Street Y’s Unterberg Poetry Center and lives in New Jersey.
